Studio Profile

Located in northern Greece, we support the Building Process from Brief Formation and early Preliminary Design, to Design Development and Construction Overseeing/Management. Our Unique Process is tailored to use every site to its full spatial potential, in the most elegant way allowed by the Brief.

Mission Statement

We are here to do workable buildings (possibly even architecture) in the most hostile environment known to architects, namely other people with overwhelming practical needs, limited budgets and little appreciation for the beauty in space.

Process

We begin by searching the spatial “truth” of a site’s condition. Interpreting the building brief and the client’s wishes into spatial arrangements, always takes place within the site’s condition. This joyful (as opposed to nerve wrecking) interplay becomes the particular attraction we seek in every project.

Processing the project, and presenting the alternative solutions start in a level of high Abstraction. After our primary goal of an optimum spatial arrangement is meet, we tend to explore the formative aspects of a project. The cultural situation of both the Client and the ‘Social Milieu’ is explored, in order to provide an adequate (perhaps even inspired) form for the project.

The design solution is processed in parallel from all design agents, each providing a unique view based on his/her skills, aiming for a sophisticated and mature solution far beyond the capabilities of each individual designer.

Chatzisavidou Despina

Born in Thessaloniki in 1966, Received a Bachelor Degree from AUTH in 1991. Worked in several Architects’ Offices in Thessaloniki Until 1997. Co-founded the Digital Dome Architecture Office in 1998, and is the Partner Responsible of Construction, Building Materials, and technical Solutions.

Papakonstantinou Mairi

Born in Thessaloniki in 1964, Received a Bachelor Degree from AUTH in 1991. Worked in several Architects’ Offices in Thessaloniki Until 1997. Co-founded the Digital Dome Architecture Office in 1998, and is the Partner Responsible of Building Code, Building Permits and Design Development.

Siampiris Tassos

Born in Thessaloniki in 1965, Received a Bachelor Degree from AUTH in 1989, and a Masters Degree from UCLA in 1992. Worked in CAD/BIM research at UCLA, and several Research Projects in AUTH until 1997. Co-founded the Digital Dome Architecture Office in 1998, and is the Principal Partner, also Partner Responsible of Design Process, CAD/BIM/CG pipeline.
